Your Pet’s First Visit

We know you have many options for veterinary care and we appreciate you choosing our clinic to care for your pet.  We look forward to getting to know you!

What to Expect

We have high expectations and we know you do, too!  When you come to Hillsdale Veterinary Group, you can expect your pet to receive high-quality medical care from a compassionate and professional staff.

Parking is available right in front of our office.  When you come inside, a member of our client care team will warmly greet you and will assist you with any new client paperwork.  Dr. Flecker performs an examIn just a few moments, a technician will come out to meet you and check you and your pet into an exam room.  They will begin a digital medical record, listen to any concerns you may have and record your pet’s vital signs.  The doctor will then perform an exam and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.  He or she will provide recommendations for wellness care and vaccines, diagnose any ailments your pet has and work with you to develop a treatment plan if necessary.  If any medication is required, a technician will be happy to fill the prescription while you are here.  Once your pet’s visit is over, the client care team will check you out and assist you with scheduling any future appointments.

What to Bring

On your pet’s first visit, we will ask you to complete some new client and new patient paperwork.  If you would like to fill these forms out in advance, just click on the “Forms” tab.

If your pet has seen another veterinarian in the past, it would be helpful for us to have this information for our medical records.  Our receptionist would be happy to call the previous clinic and ask them to fax your pet’s records to our office, or you may bring them with you to your first appointment.

For safety reasons, we ask that you bring your pet on a leash or in a carrier.  We have leashes available at the front desk if you need to borrow one.
