Dr. Tom Dickey has been an Oregon veterinarian since 1999. He has extensive experience in both clinical medicine and research. Prior to veterinary school, he earned degrees on Anthropology and Zoology at the University of Oklahoma and was then a graduate teaching assistant. He then carried out research at Emory University and Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Tom graduated from Oklahoma State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, after which he became manager of the school’s laser surgery laboratory. Since moving to Oregon, Dr. Tom has been practicing as an associate veterinarian, as well doing research as a faculty member at the Oregon Health and Sciences University. He is a longtime resident of Southwest Portland with his wife Michelle Judd, 3 dogs and a dysfunctional parrot. He sings harmony and plays guitar and has worked with chimpanzees and other primates.
